Cryosite is Australia’s first and leading private cord blood bank. In 2002, Cryosite pioneered private cord blood banking in Australia, and since this time we have continuously provided this service to parents in our own TGA licensed laboratories. Our Laboratories
Cryosite is the only private cord blood bank in Australia that has continuously owned and operated its own licensed cord blood bank laboratories and long term cryogenic storage facilities. It is the experience from successfully processing and storing thousands of samples with our own staff, our own processes, and in our own laboratories. That makes the Cryosite difference.
Cryosite’s growth saw us relocate to new purpose built laboratories and cryogenic storage facilities in Sydney, NSW in 2010. At 2,000m2 our new hi tech facility is nearly three times the size of our original site and is designed to meet world’s best practice standards, including clean rooms for the processing of cord blood. Cryosite is the only private cord blood laboratory that uses clean rooms to process cord blood. Cryosite’s new facility is fully licensed by the TGA and, importantly, it is independently accredited by NATA.

Regulatory Compliance
Cryosite’s facilities, including our cord blood processing laboratories and cryogenic storage facilities, are fully licensed by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for the manufacture, storage and release of both autologous and directed allogeneic (ie family) cord blood stem cells.
Importantly, Cryosite is also independently accredited by Australia’s National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) to AS ISO 15189:2009. Cryosite’s regulatory licenses and accreditations provide parents with evidence of independent audit and acknowledgement of the integrity of our systems.
